Workshop on Context-awareness in Retrieval and Recommendation

The Workshop on Context-aware Retrieval and Recommendation (CaRR2011) was held on February 13, 2011 in Palo Alto, California at the 2011 International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces.
The aim of the workshop was to invite the community to a discussion in which we will try to find new creative ways to handle context-awareness. Furthermore, the workshop aimed at improving the exchange of ideas between different communities involved in research concerning, among other machine learning, information retrieval and recommendation.
